L’histoire de France

Quebec City, QC

My parenthesis began with a biopsy of a nevus in the left thigh in 2005, with atypical cells at this time. A biopsy resumption in early 2006 came back negative. In 2010, appearance of a ganglion in the left groin and 2 weeks later of a nodule in the left thigh in the same place as the 2005-2006 biopsy.

I underwent in March 2010 surgery of the left thigh mass (melanoma) with quite large excision of the ganglionnaire chain in the left groin of which a ganglion was positive. Subsequently from May 2010 to May 2011 I received an immunotherapy treatment (interferon), 1 month intravenous and 11 months subcutaneous 3 times a week.

Since I have regular checks with PET scan once a year, visit every 6 months with the surgeon and once a year with my dermatologist Dr. Joël Claveau.
My leitmotiv is: Yesterday is a story, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift, that’s why it’s called “PRESENT”.
